ABC Has Canceled 'Mixed-ish' After Two Seasons

The scores for Season 2 of 'Mixed-ish' have not been as excellent as Season 1. So, did ABC choose to renew or cancel the sequence forward of Season 3?

The ABC collection mixed-ish tells the story of a younger Rainbow Johnson (Arica Himmel) and her circle of relatives as they narrate their reports of being a mixed-race circle of relatives within the ’80s and the dilemmas they face as they are attempting to navigate an international where the youngsters aren’t perceived as both Black or white. 

Rainbow and her siblings are still making an attempt to figure out how to fit in among their buddies whilst their oldsters try to care for the social dynamics of becoming in with California suburbia.

The second season of mixed-ish premiered in January 2021, and according to its Nielsen ratings, 2.67 million people tuned in. While the selection of audience wasn’t as prime as its collection premiere, it did stay in line with the typical viewership for Season 1 and was higher than the Season 1 finale. 

However, viewership for Season 2 has been taking place, and lovers are starting to concern that mixed-ish is not going to get the Season Three it merits.

So, is 'Mixed-ish' in reality being canceled?

Sadly, ABC has opted to say good-bye to mixed-ish after two seasons at the air. ABC introduced that it will be saying good-bye to 4 sequence in May of 2021: mixed-ish, American Housewife, For Life, and Rebel.

“They are all distinctive shows who on their own explicit timeline the place they are creatively and with the target audience,” Craig Erwich, the president of ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals, informed Deadline. “I can say that just because we aren't ordering new seasons does no longer take anything away from the have an effect on that these displays had creatively or how many lovers they have on ABC. 'Black-ish' will return for yet another season on ABC.
