When ABC introduced that Fresh Off the Boat used to be renewed for a sixth season, the show's celebrity Constance Wu kind of... lost it. She went on a Twitter rant in which she mentioned such things as, "So upset right now that I'm literally crying," and, "F--king hell." It used to be transparent she was no longer extremely joyful to be tied all the way down to her network TV contract for a whole new season. So she could be the simplest person interested by the newest information regarding her personal TV display.

Fresh Off the Boat has been canceled.

The show's sixth season, the one Constance was once so disappointed about, will probably be its final. It will wrap out after 15 episodes this season, with the closing two finale episodes almost definitely airing someday in early 2020, even though there is not any company date but.

Why is Fresh Off the Boat being canceled?

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the show's producers have been the ones to decide that the show will end. They said it is a ingenious decision made to allow the writers to "end the series on their own terms."

It kind of makes sense that the show is finishing anyway, since this ultimate season has main persona Eddie starting to think about what he's going to do when high school involves an end. But I will be able to't help however ponder whether Constance Wu's perspective towards returning to the show used to be indicative of a bigger factor.

ABC Entertainment president told THC, "We couldn't be prouder of this game-changing show and the impact it has had on our cultural landscape. The success of Fresh Off the Boat has helped pave the way for inclusion throughout the industry.

"[Series writer] Nahnatchka Khan and her sensible creative group have created an unforgettable collection with an Asian-American circle of relatives entrance and center, one thing that hadn't been carried out in 20 years. The ultimate, led by way of Randall Park and Constance Wu, is one of the best and funniest on tv. We'll pass over the Huang family and are ceaselessly thankful for the incredibly heartfelt stories they have advised these past six seasons."

What is Fresh Off the Boat about?

The series, which premiered in 2015, is based on the memoir of the same name written by chef Eddie Huang. However, Huang was conflicted about allowing his memoir to become a network sitcom, saying the show whitewashed and watered down his story for prime time audiences.

Although series creator Nahnatchka Khan stepped down as showrunner earlier this year, she gave THC a statement when it was announced that the show would be ending. "I'm so proud of the show and what we've got achieved over the previous six seasons," she said. "Thank you to everybody at ABC and 20th Century Fox Television for going in this journey with us. It was actually a unique experience and optimistically will eternally be a reminder of all the tales out there that deserve to be told. Like B.I.G. mentioned, 'And if you don't know, now you already know.'"
