A 26-year-old Baltimore, Md. native who rose to reputation with 16 and Pregnant, the reality TV show that premiered on MTV in 2009, has kicked the bucket. Jordan Cashmyer first entered the spotlight in 2014 with an look on Season 5 of 16 and Pregnant. The episode presented a glimpse into her turbulent courting with her then-boyfriend, Derek Taylor.

Jordan gave delivery to her first daughter, Genevieve "Evie" Shae Taylor, on March 7, 2014. She and Derek, who fathered the child, broke up shortly after their episode of 16 and Pregnant aired on MTV.

"I was identified with postpartum melancholy and was once on medication for a short time for it, but I never followed up with my appointment. My mood wouldn't stay solid for extraordinarily long. I was extraordinarily impulsive, couldn't center of attention, the smallest issues would set me off, and my anxiety were given worse, as did my depression and OCD."
Jordan reportedly checked into rehab in the summer of 2016. She was arrested for drug possession more than once in the following year. Rumors about her working as a sex worker started to emerge in 2017, as well.
Things started to look up in January 2021 when Jordan celebrated one year of sobriety. She and her fiancé, Michael Frank Schaffer, welcomed their first and only daughter, Lyla, in June 2021.
However, Michael passed away soon after in September 2021, aged only 30. Michael's cause of death is not publicly known.
Jordan Cashmyer's cause of death is yet to be revealed.
Jordan's father, Dennis M. Cashmyer Jr., confirmed the news about Jordan's tragic passing on Facebook on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022.
"Last night, I won a decision no guardian ever wants. My oldest cherished daughter, Jordan, has passed on to the great beyond. She was handiest 26 years outdated. Our hearts are in point of fact broken," Dennis wrote. "No guardian will have to ever have to go via losing a kid, ever. Please keep my family for your thoughts prayers as we navigate via this horrible tragedy."
"Please perceive and recognize our privacy at this time," Dennis added. "We are surrounded via the love and strengthen of our children, granddaughter, Lyla, and family members."
Jordan's cause of death is yet to be revealed.
"This is a shockingly sad day. Jordan was a sweet and caring individual," Jordan's PR representative instructed E! News. "Last we spoke, she used to be doing smartly and gave the look to be in a just right position mentally and bodily. I wish folks had the opportunity to know her beyond her struggles. I used to be all the time rooting for her, and am thankful I had the probability to understand and paintings with her most of these years. Life wasn't all the time kind to her, so now she is in a position to be at peace."
