The action-drama collection Magnum P.I. is a reboot of a popular '80s TV show of the same name, which starred Tom Selleck because the titular private investigator.
The 2018 sequence takes place in Hawaii and stars Jay Hernandez as Thomas Magnum, a Navy SEAL turned personal investigator. Thomas lives on the Hawaiian estate, Robin's Nest, which is owned by means of writer Robin Masters, with Juliet Higgins, a former M16 agent, and the property's cultural curator Kumu Tuileta.
Juliet ultimately becomes a P.I. herself to assist Thomas together with his cases. Thomas may be assisted via two former U.S. marines, Rick and T.C., and is known to butt heads with HPD Detective Gordon Katsumoto.
Magnum P.I. takes place in the same fictional universe as Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver, and all 3 shows were evolved through Peter M. Lenkov.
