It wasn't until March 2023 that Ed shared her identify — Jupiter — with the public. In a quilt story for Rolling Stone, Ed shared some frightening information about his wife Cherry's cancer diagnosis and how that coincided with Jupiter's birth.

Ed said, "I notice some other people assume [Lyra Antarctica] fairly a odd name. But my wife's known as Cherry, and she is the one Cherry that I've ever met, and I feel that she's the only Cherry that she's ever met, and I rather like that."
