If you’ve listened to the Hamilton soundtrack (or have been fortunate sufficient to see it in particular person!), then you understand it’s an implausible musical that pretty much everyone will have to have the chance to enjoy one day in their lives. Luckily, Hamilton is coming to Disney Plus so more other folks than ever earlier than gets their chance to be in the “room the place it happened.” Kind of.

However, in case you’ve been a Disney Plus subscriber for a couple of months, you will have noticed that no longer each and every movie in the Disney Plus lineup stays on the streaming carrier perpetually. How long will ‘Hamilton’ keep on Disney Plus?

First, the good news: Hamilton will officially be available to move on Disney Plus starting Friday, July 3, 2020 (slightly a fitting free up date considering the material, no?). It will probably be available starting at 12 a.m. PST, so plan accordingly! Maybe that means staying up tremendous late on Thursday to watch it as quickly as it’s to be had, possibly it approach waking up super early on Friday, or possibly it means simply having it play on a continuing loop all Fourth of July weekend.

As for how long the Hamilton movie will probably be available, well, we don’t know for positive. But we do know that it will be for longer than just sooner or later. There had been some rumors that the movie can be available for someday only. The Hamilton film trailer ends with text saying, “Streaming exclusively July 3,” which made some other folks think it was once only streaming on July 3, but it in truth approach it’s streaming exclusively on Disney Plus beginning on July 3. Lin-Manuel Miranda even confirmed that in a tweet. Whew!

We’re guessing that the Hamilton movie will in reality be to be had to move on Disney Plus for relatively a long time, so don’t freak out if you can’t watch it in an instant. In February of 2020, Deadline reported that Disney had paid $75 million for unique, worldwide rights to the recording of the display (which was once filmed over the direction of three nights). It wouldn’t make sense for Disney to pull the film from the Disney Plus lineup after spending any such massive sum for it.

Will the ‘Hamilton’ movie be edited on Disney Plus?

The Hamilton film will comprise every single scene and song from the unique Broadway display — with two very small exceptions. According to Lin-Manuel Miranda, they had to make two small edits to tune lyrics in order to care for a PG-Thirteen rating in the Disney Plus model of the display. There are 3 uses of the notice “f--k” in the authentic musical, so two of them had to pass.

In “Yorktown,” the F-word is muted in “I am getting the f--k back up once more,” and in “Washington on Your Side,” you’ll hear “Southern *report scratch*relatives’ Democratic Republicans” instead of the original lyrics. The F-bomb that made the cut isn’t even a true F-bomb at all — it happens in “Say No to This” when James Reynolds says, “You see, that was once my wife who you decided to fuuu–."

Other than the ones lovely minute changes, Disney Plus audiences will get to see Hamilton in all of its glory, and they’ll indubitably be ready to watch it greater than as soon as when it’s in the end to be had to watch beginning July 3. We can’t wait!
