
Before he was convicted of murder and committed suicide, Aaron Hernandez's pal Tim Tebow tried to keep him out of trouble. A look at their friendship.
The new three-part documentary, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, delves into the lifestyles of former Patriots participant Aaron Hernandez ahead of he was convicted of murder and sentenced to existence in prison.
But something now not identified by many is that all the way through his soccer career, Hernandez shaped an unlikely friendship with fellow players Tom Brady and Tim Tebow, each of whom tried to keep him out of trouble leading up to his eventual arrest and suicide.
Tim and Hernandez met in school on the University of Florida.
The not going duo first met when Tim hosted Hernandez on a discuss with to the University of Florida, where Hernandez used to be probably being recruited. After Hernandez graduated from highschool a semester early to start his collegiate football profession on the college, Tim persevered to look out for Hernandez while on the group.
According to the New York Post, the Florida Gators coach, Urban Meyer, sought after to kick Hernandez off the crew at one point over his "chronic" use of marijuana.
“But the assessments would come again that he used to be not smoking and he denied it all the time,” Urban said.
But Tim suggested the coach no longer to kick him off of the team, and as an alternative, Urban advised Hernandez that via the tip of his junior season he would have to cross pro. Apparently, in his time with the Florida Gators, Hernandez only formally failed one drug check.
Hernandez was then recruited through the Patriots, starting his profession within the NFL.
Tim also tried to break up Hernandez's 2007 bar combat.
In 2007, Hernandez went to a bar in Florida referred to as The Swamp, where he got right into a dispute with a bartender over a $12 tab. This led to an altercation between Hernandez and the bartender, which Tim tried to break up, unfortunately to no avail.
Hernandez then punched the bartender in the side of the top, leaving him with a broken eardrum. At one point, Tim ended up calling Urban for assist settling the situation.
Tim was additionally wondered about the incident when police were doing an investigation.
"[Tim] stated that he witnessed the dispute," an officer wrote within the investigation record. "… Tebow stated that he went over to try to help resolve the conflict."
Urban still does not know what else he may've completed higher for Hernandez.

Tom then watched over him after he was once drafted via the Patriots.
After Hernandez began his NFL career, Tom took it upon himself to glance over Hernandez, just as Tim had. Tim and Tom have been friends and even discussed Hernandez in combination.
In a video clip posted to the NFL web site, Tim and Tom are shaking fingers after a game, and the microphones select up their dialog.
"...I'm trying to watch over Aaron [Hernandez] and Brandon [Spikes]," Tom advised Tim in the clip. Tim was once on the Denver Broncos on the time, that means he may just no longer glance out for Hernandez. Brandon Spikes was once another Patriots player who were drafted from Florida Gators.
"I appreciate that, too, man. They're good guys," Tim spoke back.
"[Yeah] they're a lot to handle," Brady mentioned.
