As showrunner Debra J. Fisher explained at the finish of Season 2 about Zion, “He is aware of things about her that most men don’t. He does no longer know that she’s a assassin, but they share a deep past.”

Fisher additional elaborates, “In Season 1, Zion sought after the family to be in combination, he was very committed to it, and then he noticed Georgia with Paul and knew that that’s the lifestyles that she came to Wellsbury [for], that’s what she wanted.”

And so, Zion in the end stepped apart for his ex to pursue her dating with the mayor. If only he’d identified what was to come for Georgia, in all probability he wouldn’t have left! But we don’t want to solely damage Season 2 for any individual who hasn’t watched. For now, simply know that according to Fisher, even if Georgia and Zion aren't together, “They percentage one thing very special. They always will.”
